Back to School Bingo

This back to school bingo game includes six different cards. The game is editable for you to change qualities if you need to do so. Instructions: Give each student a card. The students walk around the classroom to find someone with a quality that matches one on the card. Once the students find each other, the student who matches the quality has to initial the card. Once a student has gotten his or her bingo card completely finished, he or she yells "Bingo." You could give a prize to the child with the most initials. This will take approximately 15 minutes to complete and is a fun way to start off the year as students have to communicate in order to find out about each other.

Exploring the World with Google Earth™

This is a beginning interactive geography project for 1^st and 2^nd Grade designed to integrate technology. It is aligned to the ELA Common Core State Standards. The student will use a multimedia Google Earth tour to gather information about basic landforms and their location on the seven continents. The student will complete a worksheet about each landform and continent on the tour
